Jeff Greene's Ride for Red

The Ride for Red cross-country bike trip was a 2-month, 4,500 mile ride by Buffalo native Jeff Greene that began on March 10, 2008 in Oceanside, CA.  After pedaling across 14 states, from California to New York, Jeff finished his trek on May 15 when he was welcomed back by friends and family in Springville, NY. 

Initially, he imagined this trip would serve as an event to signify his transition from military service in the US Navy to civilian life. Then he realized the trip could be much more than just a personal endeavor; he decided to make this amazing ride a benefit for the American Red Cross. 

Jeff's journey raised $13,616 for the American Red Cross.
