Telephone Assurance Program (TAP)

The Telephone Assurance Program (TAP) is a free volunteer service that provides friendly telephone calls to Erie County seniors age 60+.  TAP works to eliminate some of the concerns facing those who are isolated in our community, allowing them to remain independent.

Weekly calls from volunteers allow area seniors to continue living on their own, giving peace of mind to the participants and especially their family members.  Also, this gives a chance to the participating members to socialize on a regular basis with someone who truly cares.

However, the seniors are not the only ones who benefit from TAP.  Volunteers work from the comfort of their own homes and provide a needed service to members of our community who are often frail, homebound, and isolated.  They also make meaningful connections, benefiting greatly from the wisdom and insight of the members.

Our volunteers provide a vital service that greatly benefits both themselves and the members they contact.  To become a member or volunteer, or to learn more about the Telephone Assurance Program, please call 716-878-2234.
