But not everyone recognizes the Red Cross as the “go to” organization when senior family members, neighbors and friends need help in leading safe, healthy lives. The Greater Buffalo Chapter is on the cutting edge of many trends and programs in human services, successfully responding to a wide variety of community needs, particularly where seniors are concerned. Over the past several years, the chapter has made great strides in providing our community’s seniors with a number of programs specifically designed to make life more comfortable for them. The LIFE Project, I’M OK, Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP), Ombudsman, Telephone Assurance Program (TAP), and Family Caregiving Programs offer a continuum of services that improve the quality of life for seniors and those who care for them. If you, or someone you know, needs a helping hand, please take a few moments to learn what the American Red Cross has to offer.
