Masters of Disaster - The Masters of Disaster Program is a unique program designed by the Red Cross that integrates disaster safety into kindergarten to 8th grade-students’ daily lesson plans nationwide. This program teaches children how to prevent, prepare for, and respond to a disaster in their home, school, or community. The curriculum provides safety instruction to students on the topics of earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, lightning, and general disaster preparedness. With the implementation of the program, the Red Cross continues to foster its working relationships with the nation’s schools. The Masters of Disaster program further emphasizes the organization’s commitment to preparedness education and safety for families and children. Visit the Masters of Disaster homepage at www.redcross.org/disaster/masters.

For Erie County schools, we're excited to offer an opportunity to get a free set of the Masters of Disaster Curriculum!  For more information, please call (716) 878-2230.
