AMERICAN RED CROSS RECRUITING M*A*S*H BASH VOLUNTEERS

BUFFALO, NY – The American Red Cross, Greater Buffalo Chapter is holding its eighth annual M*A*S*H BASH on Friday, June 2 from 7 p.m. to midnight at chapter headquarters, located at 786 Delaware Avenue (corner of Summer Street).

“The M*A*S*H BASH has become known as the best party in town to kick off the summer,” Nancy Blaschak, executive director of the Greater Buffalo Chapter, said. “This year we expect approximately 4,000 people to come out and support the American Red Cross. Of course, we are also looking to raise significant funds, all of which will remain right here in the Greater Buffalo Community.” Blaschak noted that funds raised will support disaster and emergency services, training programs and other services offered by the chapter.

Because the event has grown so large over the last few years, more volunteers than ever are needed to ensure the BASH’s success. They are needed to help with set up, bartending, serving food, directing parking and clean up.

Volunteers will be assigned to work in four-hour shifts and are invited to attend the BASH when they are not on duty.

To volunteer your services during the M*A*S*H BASH, please call 878-2373.

The American Red Cross, Greater Buffalo Chapter prepares for, and responds to, community disasters and emergencies and helps people lead safe and healthy lives. The American Red Cross is one of the oldest and largest volunteer-driven organizations in the United States and locally depends on the contributions of 1,000 volunteers to provide its emergency service and health education programs.
